APERICENA
An APERITIVO served together with an assortment of STUZZICHINI (appetizers, canapés) and accompanied by small servings of a selection of various dishes, including sweets, that take the place of dinner or supper (CENA in Italian – long ‘e’).
The Italian noun stuzzichino (pl. stuzzichini) is derived from the verb ‘stuzzicare’, which, in relation to food, translates “to stimulate or whet the appetite”.
APERITIVO + CENA = APERI-CENA
